Frequently asked questions
Do I need a credit card to start the trial?
No. Your 14-day free trial starts the moment your account is provisioned. We only ask for payment details when you choose to subscribe at the end of the trial.
How does provisioning work? Is it instant?
After you submit your signup form, our team reviews your application — typically within 24 hours. Once approved, your subdomain is provisioned and you receive a welcome email with your login details.
Can I cancel at any time?
Absolutely. Cancel from your admin dashboard at any time with no cancellation fee. Your data is retained for 30 days after cancellation, giving you time to export everything.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Your data is preserved for 30 days after your subscription ends. During that window, you can export all your pet records, application history, and financials. After 30 days, data is permanently deleted.
Is FosterFlow open source? Can I self-host?
Yes! FosterFlow is open source and available on our Gitea instance. Self-hosting is always an option for technically capable organizations. The hosted Cloud service exists for rescues that prefer a managed, zero-maintenance solution.
Do you offer discounts for small rescues or nonprofits?
We keep our prices as low as possible so every rescue can afford FosterFlow. If your organization is in a genuinely difficult financial situation, contact us — we'll work something out.
What is the API add-on?
The REST API add-on gives you programmatic access to your rescue data — useful for custom integrations, data exports, or building on top of FosterFlow. Contact us to discuss your use case and we'll add it to your plan.
Can I switch between the Manage and Cloud plans?
Yes. Upgrade or downgrade at any time from your account settings. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period.
