FosterFlow started because the tools available to animal rescue organizations were fragmented, expensive, or built for the wrong purpose. We decided to fix that.
Our mission
Animal rescue organizations are almost always volunteer-run, donation-funded, and operating with zero administrative budget. And yet they're expected to maintain a website, process applications, track dozens of animals, manage fosters, accept donations, communicate with adopters, and somehow have time left to actually care for the animals.
The existing tools don't make this easier. Most rescues end up with a WordPress site that took weeks to set up, a Google Sheet they share with twelve volunteers, a donation widget from one company, a form builder from another, and an inbox full of adoption inquiries they've been manually routing for years.
FosterFlow's mission is simple: give every animal rescue organization — regardless of size, budget, or technical ability — a complete, professional platform that just works. One login, one price, everything included.
Open source, always
FosterFlow is fully open source and hosted on our Gitea instance. Every line of code that powers your rescue's site is publicly readable and auditable.
We believe that software for nonprofits and social good organizations should be transparent. You should never have to trust a black box with your rescue's data.
Technically capable organizations can always self-host FosterFlow. The hosted Cloud service exists for rescues that prefer a managed solution with zero infrastructure overhead.
